- Carol Dweck, Mindset
Our society and culture has traditionally supported the idea that education is finalistic. A student goes to school to learn a trade or profession and then that person becomes an "expert". Our world is changing from one of hyper-specialization to a place where divergent thinking and skill-sets are a must.
We are all works in progress. Students and faculty are learning new things every day. As a leader, this learning must be valued, no matter what form it takes. I help those around me on their own learning journey, supporting them in whatever capacity I can.
